Dear Harvest Family

What brings you joy?
Is it when life is going well? When your family is healthy, your work is successful, your plans come together, or your prayers are answered?

What happens when those things change?

Is it possible to experience genuine joy when life is difficult? Can joy and sorrow exist at the same time? And where can we find a joy that circumstances cannot take away?
This Sunday, as we continue our series on the Fruit of the Spirit, we'll consider Joy as we study Luke 10:17–22 and John 15:11.

I encourage you to read these passages before Sunday and come ready to discover the joy that Jesus desires for his people.

Fresh Encounter — This Sunday Night
I also want to invite you to join us at my house this Sunday evening for Fresh Encounter, our church-wide prayer gathering.
There is something precious about God's people coming together to seek his face, worship him, and depend upon him in prayer. We don't want to be a church that merely talks about the work of the Holy Spirit. We want to be a people who are continually seeking the Lord and depending upon his presence and power.
Whether you regularly attend our prayer gatherings or have never joined us before, I encourage you to come. Let's seek the Lord together!
