Mid-Week Update 08/26/26

Dear Harvest Family

The church picnic is this Sunday. You still have time to invite friends and family who might not be able to come on a Sunday morning. This is a great opportunity to introduce folks to our faith family and to connect with those in our church you might not know as well. Join us this Sunday, August 30th, from 4 pm to 7 pm. For more info, click below Also, check out the sign-up for side dishes. Make sure you bring enough to feed both your family and another family so that we can provide for all our guests.

  • If you have yard games, please drop them off at the gym on Sunday morning. Our game team will set them up after church

Move Up Sunday for Kids ministry is moving to October 1st. We are looking for 8 new volunteers so we can open a lower elementary class(K-1st).

This past Sunday, Mike Klunder preached an excellent message on deacons in the church. Mike encouraged us not only to understand the role of a Deacon but also that we all have a role to play in the local church, serving others and building up the body. I came across an article this week that speaks to how we listen to sermons. In an individualistic culture, it's easy to listen only for ourselves, but this article encourages How to Avoid Individualism When Listening to Sermons. It's not long. May we be a church that both listens to and responds to God's word, not only for ourselves but also for the benefit of others.

2 Notes about giving
This Sunday is the last Sunday of our fiscal year. Let's end the year strong.
Also, this week we will take our benevolence fund offering.

See you on Sunday as we finish our Series in Galatians and then gather later for food and fellowship.

In Christ,
Jamie
Pastor, Harvest Lakeshore, Stevensville
