Mid-Week Update 06/04/26
Dear Harvest Family
At Harvest Lakeshore, we believe caring for people in need is not optional for followers of Jesus — it is part of living out the gospel. Scripture repeatedly calls God’s people to remember the poor, bear one another’s burdens, and demonstrate compassion in practical ways (Galatians 2:10; Galatians 6:2; 1 John 3:17). Our Benevolence Fund exists to provide temporary assistance to individuals and families facing genuine hardship while reflecting the love and wisdom of Christ. Over the next several weeks, we want to help our church family better understand this ministry, how it functions, and how we can participate together in caring for people both inside and outside our church family. Stay tuned to the Sunday morning announcements and be in prayer for how the Lord is calling you to be involved as we take our first Benevolence Fund offering on the last Sunday of June.
Your generosity continues to stir my heart. All of the children of the church planters' families coming to the Senegal training have been provided for. Please bring the items to church NO LATER THAN JUNE 7. Thank you for blessing these children, and please be in prayer for both them and their parents as they prepare to plant in hard places in West Africa.
PRAYER MEETING THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday night (June 7), we will gather to seek God's face together in prayer. We will meet at the home of the Edwards family. Their address is 2956 Wyndwicke Dr, Saint Joseph, MI 49085. The plan is to pray for an hour or so and then enjoy some fellowship and ice cream! Childcare will be provided. If you need childcare, please register here so we can plan for helpers.
BREAKFAST and BAGS
Men, you can register here for Breakfast and Bags. This will be a great way for you to invite friends and family, as well as an opportunity to bring your son (JH or older). There will be a testimony, breakfast, and a corn hole competition. See you there!
VBS
Lastly, if you have not signed up yet to serve in VBS, we still have opportunities for you to serve this summer. You can sign up by contacting Kylie Stein at vbs@harvestlakeshore.org or going to the VBS info page. Also, kids can register to attend on the VBS info page.
