Mid-Week Update 05/06/26

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 7, we will gather at Lakeshore High School cafeteria to pray with some other local churches at the National Day of Prayer Meeting.

As we approach Mother’s Day, we want to take time to honor and give thanks for the gift of mothers—those who have nurtured, sacrificed, prayed, and reflected God’s care in countless seen and unseen ways. Scripture calls us to “honor” (Exodus 20:12), and this is a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude for the women who have shaped our lives in Christlike love.

At the same time, we recognize that this day can carry a mix of emotions. Some come from homes marked by absence or pain, and others carry the quiet grief of longing to be mothers. We want you to know that you are seen and loved. Our God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He meets us with compassion in every story. As a church family, may we celebrate with gratitude, while also walking with tenderness, bearing one another’s burdens in Christ.

This Sunday, we will consider our justification in Christ as we study Galatians 2:11-21.
