Digital Fast - Feb 16th - March 18th
Our Church would like to provide "The Digital Fast Workbook: Detox Your Mind and Reclaim What Matters Most."
If you would like a copy of this workbook to assist you as our church does a digital fast, please register by February 8th and let us know how many you would like for you/your family.

What Is a Digital Fast?
A fast is an intentional period of time during which we give something up. In this case, we're giving up our devices so we can loosen the grip they have on our attention. You can also think about this journey as a "detox." Over the next twenty-eight days, you'll detox from the negative effects screens have on our heart, mind, body, and soul. You'll unplug from the urge to turn to your phone at the slightest hint of boredom. You'll reorient to the people and pursuits that matter. Here is the guiding principle I want you to understand about your phone: Not all apps are created equal, and they fall into two main buckets: utility or distraction. Utility apps are helpful tools, such as a calculator or a GPS. Distraction apps are designed to steal your attention, like Candy Crush or social media. Utility apps are not ruining your life. No one is addicted to their calculator! Distraction apps,
on the other hand, waste your time and drain your soul. The goal of a digital fast is to redesign our relationship with technology, keeping the utility apps and deleting the distraction apps (for now). By eliminating the noise, you'll reclaim your attention and redirect it to what you truly value. You'll form new habits and carry them forward after you've finished this fast; after all, the goal isn't to grit your teeth and get through the next twenty-eight days! The goal is to change. To challenge yourself. To create a new relationship with technology that will maximize its usefulness and minimize its harm for the rest of your life.
