God Rested

Genesis 2 reveals to us that God rested after creating the cosmos.  We learn a rhythm of work and rest from reflecting upon God’s rest.  God is omnipotent and sovereign and we are not.  We acknowledge his sovereignty when we enjoy the gift of sabbath rest.  Ultimately we find our rest in Jesus Christ.
