Be Ready: Living awake in service of the Master - Harvest Lakeshore Full Service 10 AM
In Luke 12:35–48, Jesus calls His followers to live with both readiness and faithfulness as they await His return. This passage brings the lessons of Luke 12 to their climax—showing that being prepared for Christ’s coming is the antidote to greed and worry. Through the parables of watchful servants and wise stewards, Jesus reminds us that genuine discipleship is marked by expectancy and obedience. To “stay awake” means to live each day in light of eternity, confident that our Master is coming again. Faithfulness means stewarding our time, resources, and relationships for His glory until He does. This message challenges believers to live watchfully, serve diligently, and hope joyfully in the returning King who will one day serve His faithful ones at His table.
