Paul: One Surpassing Worth

Feb 8, 2026    Jamie Maxim

In Philippians 3:1–11, Paul invites us to reconsider what we truly value and what we count as gain in our lives. Once confident in religious achievement and personal righteousness, Paul came to see everything as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. This message shows how distraction is not merely about busyness, but about misplaced confidence and misordered loves. Through the gospel, Christ does not simply improve our lives—He redefines what matters most. True devotion flows not from discipline or performance, but from joyful surrender rooted in union with Christ. When Jesus becomes our greatest treasure, every competing source of confidence loses its power, and our lives are reshaped by hope, joy, and resurrection faith.
